You are now LYNDIS NIVALI, and it is time for you to ascend through your second gate.
You are more than a little nervous about this, as this involves - as you understand - leaving your planet, which means leaving your home cave very far behind you with only theoretical ways of getting back to it again. Still, you are aware that you can't simply refuse to progress in the game(or, rather, that the game would likely kill you off if you tried), so you have given in and begun carefully ascending the tower built atop the cliff that leads to your second gate. The static in the air means you can't actually see the gate yet, but the tower presumably leads to it and you expect to make it there eventually if you simply keep following it up.
And finally, once you're close enough, you do reach the gate. From there...it's simply a somewhat reluctant jump through to the next planet - following a considerably less reluctant Zirreh, which doesn't surprise you given his acknowledged flushed feelings for Kaprao, who will be waiting for you somewhere on the other side.
You find yourself in, rather unexpectedly, a village. (You likely should have asked Kaprao what awaited you on the other side of the portal - or maybe told him you two were on your way at all - but once you'd finally steeled yourself to go through you'd gotten kind of impulsive.) You're both immediately swarmed by weird-looking consorts, several promptly inviting the two of you to go for a swim in a nearby river.
Even if I knew how to swim, why would I wanna do that?
Their disappointment is visible, but they then simply turn their attention to Zirreh. This gives you time to get on Trollian.
