Return from where? Well you have been watching the sky for some time now, though why you would do such a thing for so long has somehow managed to slip your mind. That’s alright though. You have been enjoying yourself at least! The fires starting up at the very edge of the horizon are quite pretty against the evening sky.

However, they’ve started creeping closer now, as have the meteors and it’s finally starting to make you nervous. You have to make sure your moirail survives, and from what everyone’s been saying, that won’t happen until she’s playing the game. Which means you have to start soon too. You take another long look at the sky, and then slip down from the roof and in through your respiteblock window. It takes you a minute to find your husktop in the dark and as it turns on, you descend the stairs and settle on the step just outside your door. Hopefully everyone has started the game alright so far! You haven't been doing a very good job keeping track. Whoops!

...this is not actually good. The idea that she can still tell when you're lying is deeply, profoundly disconcerting to you. At least some of her suspicion has been quelled? And you are genuinely glad you could help, at least.

You stare at your screen for a moment, at a bit of a loss. You can tell two things; that his first statement was a lie, but the second was not. Normally, you would bust someone for their lies, but this is a bit of a special case. Frankly, you do still feel pretty bad about messing with him for his words looking like lies since that was pretty much definitely just a problem on your end. And also, you like to cut fellow rustbloods a bit of slack, since well, you're all in this short lifespan together.

You guess you can understand why he wouldn't be too thrilled about your power still working on him. While you've never been on the receiving end, you suppose it could be kind of annoying to be unable to keep secrets and stuff from someone like you. And well, he was honest about being glad he could help, so it's not like he's being a huge nookwhiff about it.

You suppose you'll just let that little bit of dishonesty slide.
