We put sessions in yo sessions so you can be really confused while you RP. Literally.
Premise:
SCRIB. Whether the name sparks recognition or no, it's the rumor that's started to gather momentum in certain circles and sooner or later, by means parse or just, you're going to become very familiar with it.
Developed by Phaest with help from Samsra, SCRIB is a game designed to test one's mettle! To see if they're made of the right stuff! And allow only the most powerful and cunning to achieve The Ultimate Goal. Whatever that is. Of course it's impossible to play the game with just two people: you need a team to pull this off! That's what the Alpha Team is. Phaest, Samsra, and several other trolls will be on this team and part of the super-secret SCRIB launch extravaganza!
But when do secrets ever stay secrets?
Arinna catches wind of this secret/not-really-a-secret-but-it-might-as-well-be session and decides that there is no way she's going to let them exclude her! Which is where Beta Team comes in. The Beta Team is a a group of several trolls including Arinna who have hacked Phaest's version of SCRIB to piggyback their own session onto the Alpha Team's.
How do the Kids fit into all this? Why, they're using a copy of SCRIB that they will be oh-so-graciously given by a member(s) of the Alpha Team. Sounds seamless right? Wrong.
There's a critical error within SCRIB's programming:
SCRIB can't be completed.
The Ultimate Goal cannot be achieved.
The server code is incomplete.
And the Beta hack? Is going to destroy the entire session.

This with be the general shape of our Fansession!
What this all means:
The Original Session will start with the Alpha Team & Kids sharing the original copy of SCRIB. Because of the game's faulty coding when selecting a source and server, the Alpha and Kid sessions will be hosted on a gemini server. This means the game is going simultaenously try to run 2 Skaias, 2 Derses, and 2 Prospits all in the same session--and succeed, to a degree! The Original Session will not contain any duplicates of individual planets; only the NPCs, their factions, and the Battleground.
Partway through the Alpha & Kids' launch where server players are pulled into the game The Beta will hijack SCRIB and cause a major error to occur. But that's obviously just because someone on the Alpha or Kids' team wasn't using it properly :T
The hack will be overlooked. At least until someone on the Beta Team spills the beans--but regardless of how long that takes players in the Original Session will begin to notice inconsistencies and errors where there shouldn't be (small and inconsequential details, but which become vastly more apparent as they progress through the game).
When the scope of how deeply the Beta hack has mucked things up for everyone though, it'll become apparent that the game is impossible to win. And guess what? Not only is the clock still going to count down to The Reckoning, but the Beta hijack is steadily overloading the Original Session's capacity to host. Eventually the entire game and everyone inside of it will crash. And that means the end of everyone.
It's up to everyone--Alpha, Beta and Kids--to figure out a way to stop, prevent, or fix this while still finding some way of achieving the Ultimate Goal. Or maybe by that point no one will care! The development of this game is based on the actions and choices made by all of you. Whether they succeed or fail is up to all of us!

1 This will be determined by glitches, but generally the Alpha/Kids Team will be at a disadvantage in the short term, but have an advantage in the long-term. 2 This will be determined by glitches, but generally the Beta Team will have an advantage short-term and be at a disadvantage long-term. * The fact that all sessions may not have Time / Space to breed Frogs will be part of the glitch & characters will need to overcome this |

* This may/may not be available to some characters in the conventional sense due to glitching (i.e. starting with a dead dream self, no dream self, or not having their quest bed where it OUGHT to be; volunteers for this get PRECIOUS SHINIES). |
So that's the general gist of things! Now comes the part where we begin to shape our adventure! Below are the lists of Roles for each session. Due to sessions being split up if you wish to pick a new title for your character now, feel free to do so as long as someone has not yet commented with it! You may also switch Prospit/Derse if you please, but keep in mind that there should be roughly equal amounts of Prospit vs Derse in each session.
And speaking of those two places! Once the game's structure is set up, we have our teams and we know a bit more about all the craziness of who knows who, there will be special information/roles handed out to people based on which moon they are from. Prospit dreamers will be given their typical visions of the future which they can use to their advantage, and Derse dreamers will hear the voices of the Noble Horror-Terrors. Whether or not they choose to heed their voices are up to them, and what is seen/heard will be sorted out later♥
Now, for our Teams!
You may notice there are already some names filled out here--I've been trying to keep up with what was said on plurk/in the last entry, so if there are any errors or fixes that need to be made, let me know in THIS SECTION. If there is a blank space in your character's line that means I am waiting for confirmation on it.
Now what?
1) Once you have received final confirmation for your role you need to create a journal and join

2) THERE IS NO STEP 2.
3) I will put up a general mingle post for everyone tonight/tomorrow depending on how quickly people reply!
