[OPEN] DERSE MINGLE

DERSE, also known as the Kingdom of Darkness is one of the two kingdoms in the INCIPISPHERE, located beyond The Veil of asteroids that surround the Medium. DERSE wages an unending war against the Light Kingdom, PROSPIT, striving for the destruction of SKAIA.

Those who dream on DERSE are viewed generally more as "team mascots"; although the DERSITE residents consider the DREAMERS to be their allies, THE ULTIMATE GOAL will eventually put the DREAMERS at odds with the residents of DERSE, who covet SKAIA'S destruction.

It is time for the DREAMERS to begin awakening.

I don't really know! This...hmmm. I mean, you're a different species, right? Maybe we're not allowed to interact, because I'm very sure I'm solid.

[starstorm]

Huh... [ and now she's papping herself, nope, she's pretty solid too. ] Niknik is plenty solid too. [ pout. ] Boooo, she doesn't get it!

[chroniker]

Must be some very complicated dream shenanigans, then. I can't really explain it.

But either way, it is very nice to meet you in person! Even though we're completely different species and all. I guess that's why I don't have the two pink moons where I come from, hehe.

[starstorm]

[ after she tires of patting herself down, she shrugs and grins up at hm. ] Nice to meet Chercher too! Gosh, Niknik has never seen something like him before.

[chroniker]

[An eager nod in return.]

And I have never seen anything like you! You said you were a troll, huh? Back home, trolls are mythical creatures, or, well, people who try to make you angry over the Internet. Not actual beings with horns and grey skin and stuff like that!

[starstorm]

Niknik knows some trolls who make people angry over the internet too. But everybunny looks like this, yep yep~ Do all humans look like Chercher?

[chroniker]

Ah, you do? Hmmm. Guess it must have been more literal than I thought...

And yes, for the most part! Though we have different hair colors and different color eyes, too. Definitely no horns that I'm aware of.

[starstorm]

Oooooh, wow! Niknik wants to meet more humans now! [ she taps her chin in thought. ] Ummm, all trolls have grey skin and horns, but they're all different shapes! And not everybunny is a blueblood like Niknik either.

[chroniker]

Wow, that's cool! What do you use the horns for? Fighting? Sensing disturbances around you like antennae?

[And a quirk of the eyebrow.] Blue blood? Like royalty? Or do you literally mean, blue blood?

[starstorm]

Ummm... Niknik doesn't really use her horns for anything... [ this is me not knowing what headcanon we have for troll horns WOOPS ] They're kinda just there.

[ GASP oh gosh she's flailing, also her face is fairly blue rn. ] Oh no no no no, royalty is only for the highest of the highbloods, the tyrians! Niknik is nowhere near that level!

[chroniker]

Hmmm.

High...bloods? [THIS IS KIND OF CONFUSING, WHAT.] Because in our world, we call people who are rich "bluebloods" sometimes, even though they have red blood like the rest of us.

What, is one blood type better than another?

[starstorm]

Supposed to be. Niknik doesn't pay much attention to it. Indigos and purples and tyrians are supposed to be higher class, she thinks. She doesn't get why though.

[chroniker]

Purples? You can have purple blood? Wow...that's pretty cool, actually! And the fact that it dictates social strata...

What are "tyrians", though?

[starstorm]

They're royalty. Nobunny can have blood higher than tyrian, only Heiresses can be tyrian. [ and now that she thinks about it, nobody she knows even has a blood color that high. ]

[chroniker]

Huh. There aren't any around here, are they? It'd be interesting to find out, how one gets different colored blood in the first place. The genetics must be really interesting...

[starstorm]

Nope nope, Niknik doesn't know anybunny with blood that high. She doesn't know much about, um, genetics either. [ she looks kind of embarrassed. ] All she knows is this is how trolls are.

Humans only have one blood color, though? Wow, that must make everything so much easier!

[chroniker]

Hmmm. Well, I guess I'll just ask around, then! You have told me quite a bit, so I thank you kindly for that.

Yes, we do! Always red, unless you're really very very sick and have one of the one in a million disorders nobody ever hears about. We're judged by how much money one has, mostly.

[starstorm]

Ohhhhhh... [ she doesn't really understand, but she's fascinated anyway. WOW humans are so cool!! ] Wowwww, that's so weird! Humans are so strange and neat!

[chroniker]

Not more strange and neat than you, I'd reckon!

So...what can you tell me about this place, Nikkal? I mean, I know it's called Derse and all, but why is everything so purple?

[starstorm]

Derse is the kingdom of darkness. Is Chercher playing the game? His sprite talked about kingdoms of light and darkness that are in a battle. The other one is Prospit and everybunny goes to one of them when they fall asleep!

[chroniker]

Yes, I am playing the game, and, well...me and my sprite...

[He drifts of sort of awkwardly, because how do you explain that your sprite is a mix between your dad and a bird skeleton HE STILL HASN'T GOTTEN OVER THAT, REALLY.]

That makes sense, though! I think he did mention something to that effect...though, why did it put me and you in this darkness kingdom? We don't seem like dark people at all...

[starstorm]

Dunno. Niknik doesn't think it means we're dark people though! Maybe the game just tried to split up everybunny's dreamselves evenly or something. [ she shrugs. that's a question she'd asked herself before too, but gradually she came to accept it for what it is and didn't bother thinking about the mechanics. ]

[chroniker]

Maybe...this game does work on some strange mechanics.

So, erm. What is your planet like? Where you come from, I mean.

[starstorm]

Oooohh, um! Niknik's planet is called Alternia! It's a neat place. All of the trolls live there, but Niknik never saw that many other ones 'cause she lives in the middle of nowhere.

[chroniker]

Alternia? A pretty name! And, oh dear, the middle of nowhere...you must have been very lonely out there, Niknik!

I live on a place called Earth, and while I don't live in the middle of nowhere, exactly, it doesn't have as much people as, say, some big cities do. But I still like it- it's very pretty!
