You now attempt to be NIKKAL CERROS.

Unfortunately, your attempt fails, because NIKKAL CERROS is somewhat... indisposed at the moment. Instead, you are now one of her PINK AXOLOTL CONSORTS.

You are one of a small group of consorts who have gathered in Nikkal's HIVE, and you are all terrified out of your wits. You frantically crowd around one of Nikkal's spare CAKETOPS and paw at it until it turns on. Unfortunately, operating a HUSKTOP is rather difficult for the lot of you, seeing as none of you have arms with which to TYPE with.

However, one of you has become most adept at using your FEET to operate these strange troll devices. Through some miracle, that consort manages to log onto TROLLIAN, and you put on your SERIOUS FACE. There is a message to everyone else that must be dictated.

You are now on DERSE.

If you've awakened in this kingdom, your DREAM SELF is free to leave their TOWER and explore the city below. There may be a few things out of the ordinary, however; some of the resident DERSITES appear to be on edge...

If you look closely, you will find a series of golden posters plastered up on the walls of the kingdom: these posters are headlined with LIES AND SLANDER, though that might only be the case if you actually like the people pictured on them. You might see one of your TEAMMATES or even just a FRIEND, beneath the headline...

HEROES FAIL TO AWAKEN! ROGUE AND THIEF CONTINUE TO BE AT LARGE!
THE FALL OF PROSPIT'S HEROES REVERSED! A NEW ARMY HAS RISEN FROM THE ASHES!
THE PRINCE IS DEAD? THE PRINCE IS ALIVE? HAS TIME GONE CRAZY?

The headlines are uncountable - you're willing to bet that there is one for every player in your session. You wouldn't be surprised if there were one about you on your opposing moon!

Perhaps you'd better locate one of your teammates, or ask the DERSITES what's happening. This has to be a setup by the BLACK QUEEN.

[tl;dr: A blob of kids and trolls talk about a blob of topics. Lots of really, really ridiculous things happen but pretty much everyone is confused at one point or another.]

You certainly could do that, if you were Bharal, and were also near your computer. However, neither of these things are true. Bharal has been lost in the twisting, maze-like, and downright hostile confines of his Land since almost immediately after he entered the game. A large group of imps had broken into his hive shortly after entry, and, among other methods of causing trouble, they had set a small fire. This spread to his lusus' fur, panicking him, and causing him to plow straight through the wall and out into the Land of ERROR and Frog's bizarre countryside. Bharal, being a caring and dutiful ward, went off in search of his caretaker.

( Not that anyone else could have known about any of this. )

You resume being LILY WHITE.

Well. That memo certainly was... INTERESTING. And frustrating. You're not sure whether you actually ENJOYED it or just wanted to throw some beakers in some faces. Either way, you did glean some INTERESTING INFORMATION out of a couple of people there. Most notably that troll named LYN. You should thank him later. You'll give your COMRADES the information from him in just a little bit. First thing's first, there are a FEW PEOPLE you need to pester about a few things... and some of them about that last MEMO.

You've finally put enough pieces together and collected enough questions and ideas to properly take action. You sit at your husktop and prepare to properly pester not just a single person but a whopping NINE OTHERS with your ideas and plans.

You suppose that there's NOTHING DANGEROUS about a 9X 10X PESTER COMBO but honestly you've never been able to properly identify DANGERS so who really knew what you were getting yourself into?

DERSE, also known as the Kingdom of Darkness is one of the two kingdoms in the INCIPISPHERE, located beyond The Veil of asteroids that surround the Medium. DERSE wages an unending war against the Light Kingdom, PROSPIT, striving for the destruction of SKAIA.

Those who dream on DERSE are viewed generally more as "team mascots"; although the DERSITE residents consider the DREAMERS to be their allies, THE ULTIMATE GOAL will eventually put the DREAMERS at odds with the residents of DERSE, who covet SKAIA'S destruction.

It is time for the DREAMERS to begin awakening.

You would do that, but you're not feeling very BRAVE right now. You feel kind of shaken up, and maybe like you fell a very long way.

Which, you actually just did, along with your hive. Now that the horrible crashing noise is gone you can make out the sound of waves, and the air smells crisp and clean, instead of like burnt corpses. The SHARK-SPRITE is urging you outside. Or trying to EAT YOU. You can't really tell. Also your throat REALLY HURTS for some reason. But that doesn't matter because you're in the GAME now, and Nikkal said everything would be alright then. And you believe Nikkal. You have to.

Well, there's nothing else for it. You gather up your husktop and SHUFFLE--no, WALK without any SHAKING at all, to the exit. You wonder if the ocean has any fi--

Oh.

OH MY.

It's BEAUTIFUL.

After a little staring, and harpooning the INTRUDERS trying to take your stone pile you sit down on the stone walkway and fire up your husktop.

You are being EXCEPTIONALLY USELESS right now.

Or at least, useless in the sense that you haven't bothered to explore outside your hive. There is a big mess of BLACK GUNK right outside your hive, which you have explicitly caused, and you kind of don't want to have to deal with it right now.

In fact, you'd rather not deal with anything right now.

Your lusussprite is currently outside your hive standing guard, which somehow manages to make you feel both safe and even more useless than you already are. Because you really shouldn't need a bodyguard at all to begin with, right?

There are a lot of things that you need to do and you are suddenly doubting your ability to do any of them.

So clearly the best course of action is to distract yourself from all of that for the time being If you can manage even that, anyway.

You have no idea where you are.

( ==> Recall previous events. )

Whatever this place is, it sure is pretty. You wander around, feeling quite nervous because your LUSUSPRITE is nowhere to be found, taking in this new area to the best of your ability. Eventually, you stumble upon some odd pink creatures - they look rather sad to you, and upon talking with a few of them, you discover that they are aquatic, but they are unable to stay in their waters for very long, because of the LIGHTNING that is plaguing their planet. You don't quite understand at first, but when a bolt of lightning strikes one of the LARGE PINK CRYSTALS sitting in a nearby pond, it hits you like a ton of bricks.

This sure is a lot to take in. Accompanied by a few of the AXOLOTLS, you find a place to take shelter so that you can touch base with your FRIENDS again.

Well! You think that was a pretty succinct and leader-ly memo. Good job you! Now, time to get down to some real business. You have been meaning to do this ever since Kaprao told you about these "other players" but with meteors, then entering the game, then basic questing... Well, let's just say it's hard being such a busy troll!

But now the issue has your undivided attention. With a bit of fancy coding you create a new memo board. This one is open to all trolls who have SCRIB installed on their hard drive. Next, you eliminate the computers that bear the Troll IP addresses of your teammates, and... It's done! Six handles, huh? You can already feel your green blood start to bubble in anticipation.

Hurriedly, you ditch your conversation with Bharal to go and see if the meteors you'd seen before have drawn any closer. You scurry out onto the balcony of your HIVE, fully prepared to retrieve your ASTRONOMOSCOPE - but you realize almost immediately that it's not needed.

The forest surrounding your hive's plateau is on fire. The blue trees are completely going up in flames, and the scent of burnt wood is stinging your sniffnode. The meteors are now visible to the naked eye from your viewpoint; still, you think that there may be quite some time left...

...until a meteor crashes down right in the middle of the plateau, much too close for comfort. Your LUSUS, who has been peacefully resting on the bottom level of your HIVE, is shaken from her slumber and promptly gets up to go inspect it. As you watch the giant hopbeast emerge from her shelter, the full realization of the danger you're in comes down on you.

You're scared. You know what you have to do, but you're still scared. In any case, you'll be reporting back to Bharal now. You quickly make your way back inside and return to your HUSKTOP.

You make your way out of the Hotel and set about finding a SUITABLE HOME for the STRANGE SEED that you made with the devices deployed (MOST DESTRUCTIVELY) by the twins. You freeze for a moment and stare at the sky in shock, before it registers that yes, that is a meteor hurling towards you and maybe you should hurry up a bit.

0:43

You scurry down the steps, somehow managing to keep yourself from going sprawling. Your eyes dart back up to the sky every few seconds. For the first time in your life, you are dissatisfied with how BIG everything about the Hotel is. It takes you entirely too long, in your opinion, to get off the front drive and onto a suitably grassy area.

0:21

You drop to your knees and use your trusty SPADE to carve out a decent amount of earth, dropping the seed in the hole and then patting the displaced dirt back down over it. Then you wait, heart pounding.

0:17

0:16

0:15

Nothing happens.

After a few horribly fast seconds, it hits you, and you very nearly hit yourself for the oversight. Ignoring your flashing Pesterchum App, you focus on twisting off the cap of the WATER BOTTLE hanging from your belt and splash its contents over the freshly turned soil. You can feel the heat of the meteor now.

0:05

0:04

You think you can feel the ground beneath your knees shake, but you aren't sure whether that's due to the meteor or something else.

0:03

0:02

Finally, some sort of green light begins to filter through the dirt.

0:01

A strange green flower blooms in front of you, and then...everything goes dark.

Sleeping is exactly what you've been very determined to do since you had woken up that night. Pretty much you'd looked out the window, seen a few shooting stars, and basically decided NOPE. If this apocalypse you'd heard so much about was actually happening, you wanted no part of it. Instead you'd collapsed on your trusty PILE OF CANDY WRAPPERS and pretty much willed yourself to sleep.

Why the pile and not a recuperacoon? Well, you don't have one. But that's okay, because you've never really needed one. Ever since you were little, you've never had the violent dreams that plague your kind, in fact you never really remembered your dreams. It pretty much just felt like you spent every night trying to get to sleep, with very little results, until suddenly you woke up. If you thought about it really hard, sometimes you'd remember that things looked oddly purple while you tried to go to sleep, but you never thought much of it.

Anyway, there is basically nothing that could wake you up from this power nap you've forced yourself to take, unless of course--

Welp, it seems like a meteor just crashed into the river not far from your hive and WOW was that loud. Yeah, there's pretty much no way you're getting back to sleep after that, especially that now your LUSUS is freaking out and making quite a racket, being as big as she is.

Might as well sign on and troll some chumps for what's probably the last time. Not like you care about them or anything.

For once in your life, you might be a little bit scared.

Your conversation with Eighis didn't exactly go as expected. You have the game now, yes, but you're still rather concerned about the condition of your friend Arinna. You continuously tried to contact her for upwards of an hour, and even two, but there's still no response. "She might just be asleep", you've tried telling yourself, "she'll be on eventually". But the more you think about it, the less you feel like that's the case.

Frustrated with the situation, you'd gone out to the terrace in order to stargaze, because stargazing always helps you calm down. The skies over your hive are clear, though you can see the deep red Alterian clouds on the edge of the horizon. "What's going to happen," you might've asked the stars, "everybunny seems so worried. But it's just a game, isn't it?" The stars don't have much of an answer for you - just to peek through your astronomoscope at the clouds in the distance.

Fiddling with the contraption for a few moments, you manage to set it to give a more local view; that is, looking many miles off into the distance as opposed to light-years.

The meteors haven't reached your hive yet, but you doubt it'll be very long before they do. Reluctantly, you collapse your astronomoscope and captchalogue it (because if meteors are going to hit your hive then you bet you're going to save at least THAT) and retreat to your computer.
