You come apart again, as you have since you found out that she... You have never liked the way you lose time before, but you're thankful for it now. You get the feeling the blank spots are getting bigger and bigger when you wake up out of sight of the nearest town only to fall away again a moment later. And all through it there's chatter, familiar voices and people you feel like you've known for sweeps. You take to hiding from them when they get especially loud.

Eventually they leave you alone again and you're left in the quiet, isolated black in your mind.


HOURS IN THE FUTURE BUT NOT MANY, you return to yourself. Or rather. You rise to the front, leaving the cluttered mess of your mind behind you for a moment. You have things you need to attend to in the outside world. People who need to be informed. It takes you another hour to walk back to the nearest town, and you ache by the time you settle into a corner and open your husktop. The heat has done this body no favors at all.
