CHRYSI: CATCH UP

You don't really see how that's an option right now! You've been working hard at barricading yourself and the delightfully snuggly consorts of Dusk and Frogs (who are, strangely enough, not amphibious in the least but actually reptilian! Curiouser and curiouser!) inside of the Hotel due to the influx of larger and more dangerous imps and the like. It's a little worrisome that you still can't find Grandmamma anywhere, but you're certain she's fine.

She has to be. You have no idea what you would do if something were to happen to her.

As much as you want to go look for her, you found that your new planet had taken a turn for the...well, for the creepier. It was dark already, but the introduction of certain abandoned structures and faint, echoey noises added an element to the experience that frankly give you the willies. For a species lacking arms, the snakes were surprisingly helpful in reinforcing the barricades, so after a few hours (months? Perish the thought! How negligent would you even have to BE?) you find yourself at ease enough to tune back in to your friends, and their own plights.

Far too many things happened there that you're just not prepared to deal with, so instead you've been concentrating pretty hard on doing anything to stop yourself from sleeping again. Because if you sleep again, and wake up in that same purple tower, you'll know everything that happened was real.

No, no, it's much better for you to just never sleep again. You don't think it'll be that hard, you have plenty of distractions. The best has been the odd machines your server player had deployed some time ago. Though you haven't killed, nor seen, a single imp, a handy disc called 'Gristorrent' has allowed you to jack the shit out of other players grist. The amount of useless bullshit you've made recently is astronomical. Most of your ventures have been utter failures, though. How were you supposed to know that combining CheezGrubs and Coca-Culla would result in an unholy acid that burned a hole right through your floor??

Yes, you're sure that alchemizing things will keep you occupied for quite some time. And if that does end up boring you, you have you have plenty of alternian tv saved on your husktop, and that amusing 'Urban Dictionary' site that Chrysi sent you some time ago. You almost can't wait to call someone a 'shitting dick nipple', whatever that means.

Though to be honest, it's been quite some time since you've trolled anyone else. You've thought about it, even opened the chat windows a few times, but couldn't actually bring yourself to send a message. You haven't even checked the memo boards lately for fear of just seeing the same old ones. When you're very honest with yourself, you think it's probably because you're afraid no one will respond, that by now everyone is gone, just like your server player. But you stop that train of thought before you begin to ask yourself why you would even care if that was the case, because down that road feelings lie, and feelings are the enemy.

Ok, no, this is stupid! You're being so stupid, you should just open a memo and see who the fuck responds. That should answer some of your questions at least.

Well, that was an interesting little adventure. Not two minutes into entering the Medium, and you've had to deal with all sorts of trouble. Those creatures wanted to know all about biology. So you showed them. In their faces. And that totally lasted a good day or so. You're not even sure how you got any sleep in this mess. But you sure missed a lot, apparently. You even managed to somehow lose connection to Wess upon entering the Medium!

You haven't even ventured outside of your house yet, but you've at least seen out your windows. You'd go outside to see it, since there's so many sciencey things littered about, but those canyons make it look pretty damn dangerous. Maybe in a bit you'll actually go outside. When you're done actually getting back onto Pesterchum. Gotta check up on Shea and the others, at the very least. They might be worried about how long you've been gone, after all.
