If you've awakened in this kingdom, your DREAM SELF is free to leave their TOWER and explore the city below. There may be a few things out of the ordinary, however; some of the resident PROSPITIANS appear to be on edge...

If you look closely, you will find a series of violet posters plastered up on the walls of the kingdom: these posters are headlined with LIES AND SLANDER, though that might only be the case if you actually like the people pictured on them. You might see one of your TEAMMATES or even just a FRIEND, beneath the headline...

The headlines are uncountable - you're willing to bet that there is one for every player in your session. You wouldn't be surprised if there were one about you on your opposing moon!

Perhaps you'd better locate one of your teammates, or ask the PROSPITIANS what's happening. This has to be a setup by the WHITE QUEEN.

If there's one thing that you know about video games and societies, important people have a lot of security and big egos. So all it took was a careful look to find the biggest, most defended building, and you knew you were in business. It wasn't like it was difficult to stroll through the front door or anything, especially since a dirty look shooed off anyone who would try to stop you.

And so you find yourself in front of the WHITE QUEEN herself. Unfazed by the atmosphere of the room, you begin to speak.

"All this bullshit makes you look pretty damn important, so just who the fuck are you?"

If you had eyebrows, you would raise one at this Hero's language.

"I am the White Queen of Prospit, as you might have gathered from the castle and my crown. What brings you to seek an audience with me, young Hero?"

You simply sneer at her complete lack of an emotional reaction. You practically saw it coming, but it doesn't make it any less of an inconvenience.

"A Queen? I guess that means you're supposed to be useful somehow. I want information, and you damn well better have it."

What a gruff young man.

"I know a great many things, and should I have the answers you seek I will certainly share them with you." You pause before speaking again.

"You need not demand so forcefully, young Hero, this is a place of aid for you. All of Prospit, myself included, hopes and fights for the success of you and your fellow Heroes. Whatever troubles you have faced elsewhere I'm sure have been difficult, but I would like you to be aware that you have no need to fight us Prospitans, even just with words."

This is entirely unexpected, a character in this game that's HELPFUL and BEARABLE? It must be too good to be true. You're not convinced, so you expect to take one step forwards and two steps back with your first question.

"So how do we bring back the dead?"

You sigh at that. Could this hero have picked a more complicated subject? You think not.

"Our lore mentions resurrection several times, but the knowledge is fragmented. Some pieces are likely to be found by unraveling the secrets of your land, and the lands of the other Heroes, but I will tell you what I know, and what I suspect.

The clearest way to bring back the dead is a simple one, a cure that is echoed through many tales for hatchlings. When a Prince or Princess dies, the universal cure is a kiss from another Prince or Princess. This should work on all of your fellow heroes, because you are also royalty of either Prospit or Derse. Upon administering the cure, the dead hero will wake up as their dreaming self, and will no longer be fragmented. But this is not a cure without side effects, the loss of your dreaming self can be difficult to handle.

The method I know least about is ascension. It is mentioned very briefly but rarely expanded upon. Should you bring back the dead through ascension, it is said they will arise stronger, as fully fledged heroes. While most sources seem to suggest the path to ascension is different for each Hero and lies on their Land, there is enough evidence to make me suspect that a path towards ascension lies on Prospit or Derse as well. It is my educated guess that the answer sleeps at the core.

Finally, the last method of resurrection is one you and your fellow Heroes have likely exhausted already; your sprite guides. Any dead creature you fuse with your guides will be brought back to life, at least for a time. It is said that guides are always doomed and will eventually return to death.
