Mingle #3

Use this post to mingle and meet with each other! For the coding to make your tags MSPA-style use the box below:

There is no set time line for these interactions but the game has not been launched yet and no one but the Beta(s) should know they are prepared to hack the game. For human/troll interactions try to keep I AM AN ALIENNNN to a minimum, or at least be realistic--would YOU believe someone was an alien if the IM'd you and told you they were?

So that's it--get out and mingle folks!

P.S. Some characters may now be aware of a rumor of Alternia's destruction, and the possibility of Meteors being involved. This is only applicable to those who have had these discussions in the previous Mingle Posts though!

If the humans could be clued into the SCRIB sesssion soon as well that would be woooonderful B) Remi, Mimi?

You got it, Pontiac.
I suppose the only way I could be more interesting as a robot is if I were an Apple product.
appleful: dreamselfy (→ I'm very serious)

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-22 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
do you mean a robot shaped like an apple
or even in an apple theme
or just the plain apple brand
they don't even have products which look like apples
it's so misleading
fayeshionista: (Default)

Oh my god that face

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-22 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
A robot shaped like an apple would be a poor design; too much bulk, to start. You'd need to compensate for the awkward balance with being top heavy.
An apple theme would be a lot better.
I'm surprised they haven't done anything like that yet, honestly, at least to some degree.
It's a company that prides itself on its functionality as well as its innovative design, you'd think someone would have gone "Hey, we're Apple, let's do something that incorporates apples, somehow!"
Maybe that person gets silenced in meetings for making too much sense.
Can't have that, now.
appleful: dreamselfy (← it's okay I guess)

I should shop that face into a hipster!Eric...

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-22 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
an apple robot could roll around awkwardly
if it wants to it can have spider legs
that sounds sorta cool don't you think
yeah those apple products are boring
MAYBE THEY DON'T EVEN LIKE APPLES
WHAT SORT OF TRAITORS ARE THEY
fayeshionista: (Default)

Yes, yes you should.

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-23 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
The operative word in that sentence being "awkward".
You do realize it would probably just roll around in circles, right?
Spider legs would be a lot better, but wheels would be the most superior.
Hey, I like some of their things.
I think they were going more for what apples mean, than the taste of them.
Just a thought.
appleful: (Default)

B)

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-23 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
yeah mr applerobot with spider legs wouldn't be the most useful bot
you mean they went for simplicity like a plain apple
hm i'm still not convinced
i'd have just been very happy if someone brought out a bunch of apple-themed gadgets
fayeshionista: (Default)

Hellz yeah B)

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-23 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
You might still get your apple Apple products, at some point.
Simplicity has its place in all sorts of design.
A very cushy place at that, actually.
It's not a bad thing at all, and actually a lot harder to achieve than it seems.
Any idiot can come up with ten different ways to do ten separate functions or ideas.
It takes a maestro do it all with one. To do it all with one takes a maestro.
appleful: dreamselfy (→ hipster)

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-25 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
so only real smart people can clean up functions and designs and things
most of the time i don't like cleaning
does that mean i'm an idiot
I DON'T WANT TO BE AN IDIOT
fayeshionista: (Default)

OH. MY. GOD. THE ICON. YOU MADE IT. OMG OMG OMG OMG DYING DLSKJ

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-25 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
If you don't want to be an idiot, then don't be an idiot.
appleful: (Default)

came out pretty wonky though, selfy doesn't have nice big nerd glasses

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-25 11:57 am (UTC)(link)
argh
does that mean i ned to clean my room now
fayeshionista: (Default)

IT'S STILL AWESOME!

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-26 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
Sure.
And while you do that, I'll be sitting here trying to puzzle out how you even came to that decision in the first place.
appleful: (Default)

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-26 11:00 am (UTC)(link)
because my room is a chaotic mess
that's what my uncle says at least
and if it's not super tidy you're apparently an idiot
it'll be difficult to always remember to keep it clean
fayeshionista: (Default)

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-26 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Being tidy isn't an indicator of intelligence, that's dumb.
It's just an indicator of how tidy or untidy you are.
Lots of intelligent people are messy.
In fact, Freud and Einstein were very messy, and so was Alexander Fleming.
appleful: (Default)

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-26 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
oh it isn't
AWESOME I CNA LEAVE MY ROOM LIKE IT IS
who's this fleming guy though
fayeshionista: (Default)

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-26 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
He's credited with the discovery of penicillin, and while he did make notable contributions with it, people have been using it since the Middle Ages.
It's like claiming to discover water.
appleful: (Default)

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-27 09:05 am (UTC)(link)
that sorta sounds like he's a fraud
but i guess he was smart enough to do the right thing at the right time
i feel sorry for the poor guy who used penicillin first
no one remembers him anymore
i'll be fair and forget the fleming guy too
fayeshionista: (Default)

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-27 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
He's not entirely a fraud, he did make contributions, people are just stupid and don't pay proper attention.
And yes, that is pretty much what happened.
Several scientists have tried to submit their findings quite some time before Fleming did, some very recently before Fleming, and many well within a period where patents and documentation were commonplace, but they were often ignored or given little attention to, while Fleming noticed what he had by chance.
They really got a raw deal.
Fleming "discovered" Penicillin, but Ernst Chain and Howard Florey were the ones that managed to isolate it and make it viable as a drug.
The three of them did share the Nobel Prize, so they were recognized, but Fleming is really the only one that most people remember.
That's just how the world works, sometimes.

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-27 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
seems still really mean to me
i'm not sure if i can keep all these names but i'll try
i don't wanna be ignorant like everyone else then
you really know a lot of stuff faye
fayeshionista: (Default)

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-28 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
It is, and the world is a mean place.
If you don't want to be ignorant, then you won't be.
It's amazing the things that you can find when you just stop and look, but most people don't care to. Most people don't care to, but it's amazing the thing that you can find when you stop and look.
It's that simple, and therein lies the dilemma.
People just don't want to.
I get by.
appleful: dreamselfy (↑ some mischief doesn't hurt)

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-28 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
if everyone works hard we can make the world less mean
at least i try my best to
my uncle taught me that
oh i like looking around when i go out
i'm not good at picking up book knowledge though
most books don't have enough pictures
or they have way too many words in it
fayeshionista: (Default)

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-03-28 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
That's a very big "if".
Pictures and diagrams are helpful, especially if that's how you learn.
Details are immensely important, they're often everything, but I can't say I like having to read a lot on something that could have been just as well-explained, if not better, with a picture.
Information can be put together so inefficiently, sometimes.
appleful: (Default)

[personal profile] appleful 2012-03-28 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
i'll surely make the world a better place
and i'll involve all of my friends
you're in for it too right
yeah if they'd put more pictures and exciting things in it people would want to learn more
but long run-on sentences make me sleepy
that should be avoided too
fayeshionista: (Default)

WHOA I DIDN'T REALIZE I WAS UP IN THIS

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-04-06 09:09 am (UTC)(link)
Good luck with that.
But I guess I'll be along for the ride, looks like.
Looks like I'll be along for the ride, I guess.
More people, anyway, some do just fine reading material the way it is.
Run-on sentences should be destroyed with extreme prejudice.
appleful: dreamselfy (↑ so excited)

don't worry I'm a slowtagger atm anyway

[personal profile] appleful 2012-04-06 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah that sounds good!!!!!
i think i need to go now
we'll talk to each other later right
fayeshionista: (Default)

[personal profile] fayeshionista 2012-04-09 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I'd like that.

You'd like that a lot, actually.
Even if you're still wondering if this person's for real.
