AVISPA: Cease puzzling nightmares, yes.
All things considered, things are going great! You've successfully prototyped your sprite once, your lusus is still alive and protected in your hive, you have more puzzles than you could ever ask for, and you'd finally decided to rest. After some planning, you'd decided that some exploration of LOSAR was in order and after plotting out a path, a plan, and preparing back-up plans for your plan the only remaining thing to do was to sleep.
So you slept. That was your first mistake.
Your eyes opened to neither the golden, bright moon you'd heard about nor the darkened, twilight moon. Instead, you are somewhere you'd never imagined even in your wildest dreams. Bright, blue skies with fluffy white clouds. You stand before an endless, clean landscape of white and black with green trees. You've never, ever laid eyes on living trees, though as awing as they are the skies above draw your eyes to them and don't allow you to look away.
That was your second mistake.
You'd only seen clear, blue skies for only a few moments twice before, when the darkened clouds you were so familiar with parted for only a moment. But the clouds here were fascinating, amazing, and... there... was something in them. You couldn't tear your eyes away, especially when the blur of a troll appeared.
That was your third mistake.
The troll hopped around, making short work of what you assumed to be Imps. She was using her arms, no, her sleeves as weapons to utterly decimate her foes. There was something familiar, something that made you think you knew her but you just couldn't place it. Sleeves for weapons, crescent horns, no glasses, and a very, very rage-driven fighting style. As you watched, you were paying so much attention to the clouds that you don't watch where you're going...
That was your fourth mistake.
You sit bolt upright, woken pre-emptively from your slumber, and the very first thing you do is open a memo. This was puzzling.
-- apiaryCryptonaut [AC] RIGHT NOW opened memo that dream was scary! --
AC: I h4d 4 very... puzzling 4nd confusing dre4m!
AC: It w4sn't on the... um, wh4t were the... n4mes of the moons.
AC: Um um um um
AC: I know them I... just c4n't remember, no.
AC: Oh, um, Prospit, yes!
AC: 4nd um, I think... the other one was... Derse, m4ybe, yes yes!
AC: Um, I'm very very... very very confused, yes.
AC: Bec4use, um, I dre4med... 4nd it w4sn't 4t... 4ll wh4t I thought... I w4s expecting, no!
AC: There were trees, yes!
AC: Living, green, t4ll trees!
AC: I've never seen trees... 4ll green like th4t!
AC: They were re4lly, re4lly... re4lly, re4lly pretty, yes!
AC: OH! 4nd I s4w... 4 troll, but I... don't know who it... w4s, not 4t 4ll.
AC: But she h4d, um... clothing, sort of, um... on her 4rms, yes!
AC: 4nd she w4s super... strong 4nd be4ting up... 4 lot of imps!
AC: It w4s 4 dre4m... within my own dre4m!

Sometimes even with sleeves, yes. ~~CS
no subject
The sleeves were sep4r4ted... 4nd not p4rt of... the clothes 4t 4ll!
I think they were... we4pons, sharp we4pons, yes!
no subject
What a bizarre fighting style... ~~CS
~I~ should like to see it! ~~CS
Any other distinguishing features about this troll? ~~CS
no subject
Um, she h4d very... unique teeth I think... nothing like mine, no!
She seemed re4lly re4lly... re4lly re4lly 4ngry, yes!
no subject
~I~ wonder... ~~CS
Mm, but no, the angry and strong parts don't quite fit. ~~CS
~I~ wonder if we'll run into this troll, then. ~~CS
Did you see anything else? ~~CS
no subject
The sh4pe, I me4n!
They were like, um... well, how do I... expl4in the sh4pe, m4ybe.
Um, oh I know... the word I do.
Why c4n't I think... of the word, no.
Oh oh oh oh.
Like, um, scoops, yes!
No w4it, th4t's not... quite right 4t 4ll.
Um, they're like hooks?
M4ybe h4lf circles, yes?
She w4s fighting so... I couldn't see cle4rly.
no subject
~I~ do believe ~I~ know who you're referring to. ~~CS
It's just, well, she's hardly the fighting type. ~~CS
Or what ~I'd~ consider particularly "strong", either. ~~CS
no subject
I just know who... I s4w w4s re4lly... re4lly re4lly re4lly be4ting... up imps, yes yes!
M4ybe I s4w into... the future, I think?
Th4t might expl4in why... she's not strong now!
no subject
You know Nikkal, don't you? ~~CS
"NikNik", ~I~ suppose she'd say... ~~CS
Perhaps ~I~ train her into a fearsome combatant in the future! ~~CS
no subject
Th4t might be wh4t... it is, yes, m4ybe!
The dre4m, yes, m4ybe!
I think we've solved... this puzzling dre4m, m4ybe.
Or 4t le4st sort... of, I think, yes.
no subject
~I~ must be quite the teacher to get her to a point where she spooked you! ~~CS
no subject
4lmost 4ngrily I think!
It w4s re4lly shocking!
Do you fight like... th4t, Perrix, m4ybe, yes?
no subject
But without seeing the same vision ~myself~, ~I~ can't exactly compare to say! ~~CS
It may be safe to assume, however, that whatever you saw... ~~CS
Make it slightly more deadly, then much more refined and elegant... ~~CS
Then you would have an approximation of how ~I~ fight. ~~CS
Well that and, you know, not with clotheskind. ~~CS
no subject
I c4n im4gine th4t!
But, um, without clotheskind... wh4t do you fight... with in b4ttle, m4ybe?
Will th4t be how... we solve the fighting... puzzles, I think, m4ybe?
no subject
Fistkind for ~gentlemen~, if you will. ~~CS
And ~I~ certainly use it to solve problems sometimes, yes... ~~CS
no subject
If you s4y so... Perrix, yes, I think.
I think I underst4nd!
no subject
no subject
They're very useful, yes!
4nd very sh4rp, very!
no subject
An elegant solution, Kusbir! ~~CS
Very nice. ~~CS
no subject
Sometimes enemies m4ke funny... noises when I strike!
....
4nd then I run.
To be s4fe, yes.
no subject
Like what? ~~CS
no subject
It's funny to he4r!
Especi4lly from the big... big big big ones!
no subject
Surprisingly morbid for you, Kusbir. ~~CS
no subject
Big things don't usu4lly... m4ke sque4ky little sounds... do they, I think?
You don't m4ke sque4ky... sounds do you, Perrix?
It wouldn't fit 4t... 4ll with you, no!
