If you look closely, you will find a series of golden posters plastered up on the walls of the kingdom: these posters are headlined with LIES AND SLANDER, though that might only be the case if you actually like the people pictured on them. You might see one of your TEAMMATES or even just a FRIEND, beneath the headline...

The headlines are uncountable - you're willing to bet that there is one for every player in your session. You wouldn't be surprised if there were one about you on your opposing moon!

Perhaps you'd better locate one of your teammates, or ask the DERSITES what's happening. This has to be a setup by the BLACK QUEEN.

[ He notices that little nose wrinkle of hers, and he shakes his head at her concern. ] No no, no mess to deal with. That'd be messy, and I don't do messy. One-stop disposal, simple. It'd stop the posters without a doubt at least.

[ He gives her a nod as he deposits the last of his posters into the incinerator. ] Toss in the last few of yours and that's right where we can go, then. The chairs are comfortable there, too, which is a bonus. Always nice to be comfortable, you know.

Well, that's good at least. Dead shit is so nasty, ugh. [ she's....... still pretty unsure though......... casual murder........ ]

Comfortable chairs, you say? [ she just crumples up the last couple of posters she has and tosses them in. IT COUNTS AS A SINGLE ITEM WHY NOT ] You don't gotta tell me twice, I am now all about this cubey place.

[ He nods ] Exactly. Dead things get disposed of, because they're in the way. Living things are great, because they move themselves.

[ He shuts the incinerator after she tosses the last few in, a little chuckle following. That certainly worked as one item, he agreed. ] Alright, let's be on our way, shall we?

[ And pchooooo off they go to the cubey place, walkin' the streets to go that way! ]

Can't argue with that logic. [ she shrugs nonchalantly, still a little disconcerted though ]

Yeah okay let's do this thing. [ and ok he can walk but she is gonna float because man this is easy YAY FOR NO EFFORT ]

[ He nods, and walks along. He would float if he could, honestly it'd save him so much trouble. But he can't, so he's walking. Damn it, Mandya. ]

Reminds me, I never got your name. [ At least the palace isn't that far away, but they're going to sneak in through this convenient side-door and up a few sets of stairs to get right where they're going. Not like he hasn't walked this exact route a million times before, though. ]

[ floating is now basically her favorite thing to do ]

Oh, I'm Mandya. Last name is Yamini, but who really cares about that, aside from fuckers who think they're being cool by calling you by your last name. [ Yeeeep. This sure is a direct route directly to the cubicle of vigilance. After a nod in response to her commentary about the use of last names, he opens a door and... ]

[ Sure enough, here they are. Surrounded on three sides by the fenestrated walls. On their screens are images of all of Derse, of everything that's going on. ]

[ And there are two comfortable chairs sitting in front of them; one that is quickly occupied by DD, and an open one. ] And now we 'work'.

[ she floats on in behind him and blinks a bit. ] Whoa, it's like having three tv's at once.

[ she plops down into the other chair, still staring at the walls ] Except the tv's are showing stuff that's actually happening with other people oh my god I didn't realize how much I wanted exactly this until right now. [ she is. so happy. ]

[ Don't mind him as he reclines his feet up, clearly amused. ]

Four windows per window, three windows, twelve possible perspectives to watch at once. Plus they cycle through, so we can see anything. We can even... [ He waves a hand and two of the screens show Jack stumbling along, kicking over trash cans... good lord he looks PISSED. ]

...and wait for it. [ Suddenly he has a remote, and he's aiming it... and at the push of a button, a comically large boxing glove bursts out of the wall, punches Jack out of a window, and sends him toppling to the ground again. ] ... ... ... Heh.

[ the look on her face right now is priceless ] This is the greatest thing I have ever seen. You're telling me that you can both see everything that's going on from right here, but also you can fuck with people in real life??? I have GOT to get me one of these holy shit.

[ also she noted the spade on that guy's shirt, that must be jack noir. man she is just learning all sorts of things from this particular nap ]

[ Heh. ]

Yep, you can. Though, just here on Derse. Messin' with everybody all the time. And that's our job. [ Thumbs up. ] ... though I might need to go feign ignorance to him so he doesn't get suspicious.

Man, if this is what you're job's supposed to be, then it's even more bullshit that everyone else has you doing their work. This would be one sweet gig otherwise. [ she leans back in her chair and spins a bit, admiring all the screens. she would probably give her left horn for something like this that worked everywhere, not just on derse ]

Ha. I think it's a pretty "sweet gig" as it is. It's good to walk around. Takes the suspicion away, anyway.

[ But he looks at the screen, noting that Jack seems particularly murderous suddenly. ] ... Hm. You've got the badge, so I need to step out. Gotta pacify Jack before he hurts or breaks anything. You'll be fine here. No one's due in here aside from me for the next few hours, and I'll be back before then.

Oh, uh, sure? I guess I can just hang out here. It'll be neat to check out everything on Derse, maybe mess with some fuckers. [ to be honest you're kind of unsure about being left alone, which is funny considering how normally you're mildly terrified of being around people. you guess things are a little different when you're asleep ]

Feel free, just refrain from messing with me while I'm out. You're welcome to clock Jack one more time when I arrive, though, it'll help my story. [ He gives a little nod before heading out. ]

[ It's off to pacify the Jack, and boy is he not looking forward to it. ]

[ Meanwhile Mandya can watch him as he goes if she wants to. It's not like there's any shortage of observation panels to watch with. ]

[ she waves a bit as he heads out, then turns her attention to the screens. it takes some fiddling, but she manages to get one of the screens to follow DD indeed until he meets up with Jack, at which point she does indeed clock him one more time real good. she can't help but giggle as he jumps and swears and rages ]

Hehehehehehe....... [ and thus begins her rampage. dersites everywhere would soon find all sorts of mayhem in their little carapace lives, all courtesy of mandya. she is having the time of her life ]
