since I can't believe that most of you
still don't even know who your teammates are
(except for maybe the humans but come on that's easy)
I think it's pretty safe to assume most of you also haven't been doing much to figure out how this game works
and why some of you suck so bad at it
although really
there's no helping it in some cases
fair warning, this is long as shit because I've ~actually~ been looking shit up about this game
so buckle in kiddos
time to kick this steam-powered information locomotive into proverbial gear

alright, let's start off easy
most of your consorts call you something, or say something about you that's supposed to give you a hint as to who you are
it's all over Derse and Prospit too
if you look at their headlines close enough
so, titles have two parts-

TITLE PART 1: CLASSES

the first part of most 'titles', a class dictates how you use your powers
far as I've been able to pick up
there are twelve basic classes and two master classes, as follows
though I wasn't able to get anything but names for some of them

rogue- usually a female class, 'steals' whatever their aspect is for the use of teammates
thief- also usually female, 'steals' their aspect from anyone and everyone for their own use
heir- ???
maid- ???
page- ???
knight- hardcore fucks who use their aspects to suck less, generally
seer- use their aspect to 'see' outcomes and possibilities, depending on their aspect
mage- ???
sylph- ???
witch- generally a female class, also hardcore fucks who manipulate their surroundings via their aspect
bard (mine)- usually a male class (the fuck♫) literally all I got was that this class does what the fuck it wants when the fuck it wants and how the fuck it wants, no lie
prince- invites destruction via their aspect (which was weirdly specific), also pretty hardcore I guess

master classes are muse (generally female only) and lord (generally male only), but the dudes were pretty quiet on that front
movin' on♪

TITLE PART 2: ASPECTS

second part of your title, there's only twelve of these
so I guess they just combo these up with classes at random to try and avoid doubles
whatever the case, the twelve aspects are-

time- one of two necessary for a successful session, pretty much what it says on the tin
time players manipulate time, either to help themselves or help their team
space- second aspect necessary for a successful session, space players also do pretty much what's obvious, and also have the joy of breeding duties
so yeah, whoever our spacey jerk is
better be taking care of those frogs on your planet
breath- WINDY THINGS it's actually pretty cool some of the stuff that breath players can do with the whole 'be the wind' thing or whatever
light- luck
like, that's literally it

void- ??? seriously I got nothing no one seems to know how the fuck it actually works
heart- something about souls and shit, so there's any heart players
try not to go all Fatal Konflict on us, okay troll Shang Tsung♫
life- again, pretty much what it says on the tin- do the lifey thing, fuckfaces
blood- ??? I don't even know but it just SOUNDS cool
mind- thoughts and decisions, although how it works depends on class, I guess
rage- berserkers or stopping people from being batshit off the handle, depends on class
doom- ??? again, literally no clue
hope (mine)- idk hope lasers or some shit I seriously got the worst fucking combo in existence

of course, all aspects and classes are related
paired up, kinda I guess
but the only ones I know for sure are the classes

rogue-thief
bard-prince
seer-sylph
witch-mage
page-knight
maid-heir
muse-lord

far as I can figure aspect-wise, it's probably something like
space-time
mind-rage
life-blood
void-light
hope-doom
and I guess breath-heart even though that makes no sense
but whatever
moving on to more important things-

FRAYMOTIFS

big fucking attacks based on your aspect, pretty much
also combo attacks with other aspects, if you're lucky
they're sold in village shops according to my consorts
but they're all expensive as fuck
and the combinations seem pretty specific depending who you are
both players gotta own the fraymotif before they can use it though
so don't waste your boondollars on anything that isn't gonna be useful

ECHELADDER

essentially♫
all your fucking levels
there's about 30 total and that's before you even hit something else
pretty much decides how hard you hit, how many hits you can take and how hard a hit you can take
pretty sure there's an exponential pattern to it
don't really care though, I'm near the top of mine, I'm pretty sure

PLANET QUESTS

all that stupid shit your consorts are making you do♫
yeah, that's kind of important, some way or another, when it comes to fixing your planet
not all planet quests can be finished completely just by fetch quests and crap though
which brings us to

==> PLANET SUBQUEST: DENIZENS

boss monsters, sometimes optional, sometimes not
all depends on your planet and your quest and whether or not you take the choice instead of killin' 'em outright
generally, if you can't finish your planet quests by doing the stuff your consorts ask you to
then your denizen's got something to do with it
and they're probably not gonna make it easy on ya
not recommended for the weak, faint of heart, or otherwise useless until...

(last, but certainly not least)

GOD TIER

this is it boys and girls
the big leagues
don't get much better than that
control of your aspect as dictated by your class
functional immortality
I mean you can still die, but you'll pop right back to life
unless your death was 'just' or 'heroic'
which of course means if you wanna stay alive, none of that martyr shit
unless you WANT to stay dead, in which case by all fucking means
only thing is that you can only get it by dying on your quest cocoon as far as I know
so for most of you♫
probably not happening unless it's by accident
it's supposed to be pretty fucking sweet though, so if some of you want to take the chance at ~not sucking~ for a change
then hey
here's your chance

that's pretty much all I got for now

or figuring out your titles if you haven't yet
though I'm pretty sure I know most of Beta's

but i cant actually do shit with the time iVe stolen
cause i cant use it on myself
and frankly im pretty fast naturally so slowing them down isnt exactly a necessity for me
so its like
just insultingly close to being totally pointless

i guess technically im able to giVe this time to other players
but fuck if i know how
i kinda think it may not be possible cause no ones eVen remotely nearby which is why i cant do it
but were all on completely different planets
and i haVent eVen heard from zirreh
and hes my client so hes the one whos either gonna show up on my planet or whose gate other players will haVe to come through to get here
so fuck knows when im actually gonna be in a position to help anyone

that sometimes theyre picked to challenge us

my title is all about stealing shit and then giVing it to other people
not exactly something iVe done a lot of
and im not good at working with other people in general

you didnt exactly elaborate on the choice when you were talking about em
and i might actually need to know cause uh
my consorts literally arent asking me to do anything for my planet quest at ALL
aside from just generally telling me i need to figure out how to bring night to a desert planet with an unsetting sun
they sure as hell haVent giVen me any suggestions as to how to do that

but I dunno, I guess it depends how this game goes

well the thing about that is
the choice is different for each denizen
and for each player
it's pretty much tailor-made to make or break a player, in some cases
but I mean I can't say much else yet
my Denizen isn't even on my fucking planet

the thing is, how can I be sure helping them will even work♫

it's putting effort into something and having nothing happen
it's a complete pain in the ass

from what I hear, the end boss is a big mix of all the shit we prototyped
so
yeah I mean if someone prototyped something with tentacles
then that's probably a thing that can happen

they usually have a 'dungeon'
hard as fuck to find, but hard to miss when you're in the right area
it's practically a big, pretentious, glowing beacon of
'here lies something that can probably fuck your shit up'
seriously, getting back up from my Denizen's area when I first gatejumped was a pain in the ass

its probably meant to challenge you
by forcing you to do shit youd neVer elect to do on your own
and learn skills youVe neVer eVen begun to deVelop cause they neVer had any releVance to you before
technically i guess its supposed to help you grow
in practice its just a massiVe pain in the nook where youre asked to do a bunch of shit you hate and/or haVe no experience with

that said though
how fucking often in your life haVe you been sure anything will work
maybe youre way more competent and stronger than most lowbloods but
i know my own lifes mostly been a string of doing whateVer seemed most likely to work and hoping it wouldnt get me killed
this isnt really any different
and the fact is that this game is pushing teamwork hard
and were a lot more likely to surViVe as a group than we are alone
hell if nothing else youVe gotta try to keep your own session aliVe just for the sake of progressing
cause except for trolls whose psionics allow them to fly its gonna be fucking hard to reach our gates without a liVing serVer
and to keep your serVer aliVe you kinda haVe to keep their serVer aliVe
and eVeryone is someone elses serVer in the chain eVentually when youre in the same session
i guess technically people haVe already died and the chain just closes to accommodate
but if that happens often enough there wont eVen be a chain left so its not exactly smart to let that happen regardless
eVentually the deaths are gonna haVe a negatiVe impact on someone you dont want them to
eVen if thats only yourself

well i meant its possible our end boss will be something else entirely but
motherfuck
a combination of all the shit weVe prototyped sounds like the goddamn worst
especially for alpha
since our session seems like one of the biggest right now
so weVe got the most ridiculous shit prototyped

i didnt see anything like that but
its probably not on the surface of my planet anyway if its anywhere
it wouldVe been too Visible
so its probably through one of the caVes
but eVen if i was ready for any kind of confrontation like that
i cant find shit with the game glitching like it is on me right now
so theres not much point in my looking
ill probably haVe to come back later

it's pretty simple
next troll in line just takes their place
it's not really all that hard
it's like if a link in a chain breaks or something
you just open up the two end links and shove 'em together

yeah, you guys are pretty boned
especially since I'm pretty sure Kusbir prototyped something hella complicated
so it miiiiiight be smarter than you
just sayin'

so yours is probably hiding someplace that you actually have to go searching for
so if you can't do it, you might as well work on everything else first

honestly i kinda feel like the game may be extracting its price for saVing our liVes by fucking with us for its own amusement
but thats just my working theory

but i also said its not a good idea to go 'oh okay serVers are interchangeable' and just let people die off
for one thing i dunno what happens when the chain gets too small
and i doubt anyone else does either
and your session in particular has the least distance to go before that could become a problem
but more than that theres other effects of people dying off that dont haVe anything to do with the serVer order
yknow how branch guy was whining about how he wished hed just died with his friends
well theres friends and quadrant crushes and general social bonds all throughout the sessions
to say nothing of relying on each others skills to stay aliVe
eVentually someones gonna die who was important to you
or someone close to you
and itll haVe a negatiVe impact
one you cant dictate the size of
eVery death could haVe a serious ripple effect on the game and the timeline
eVen if you dont realize it was significant until like 200 hours after the fact
which is why its important to aVoid all deaths that can possibly be aVoided

think i may bite the bullet and head to kappys planet soon
which should be where my second gate leads
it should still be more or less directly overhead

iVe been talking to ria a lot
probably more than any of the other humans
which makes sense since she and i literally haVe the same title
helps us work our shit out a little faster

i dont think we can afford ANYONE dying
all our sessions seem connected in weird ways
which is why i think were able to communicate with each other at all
i dunno if we can actually affect each others sessions in any concrete way but info is pretty important all by itself
so us being able to talk is probably significant
plus since beta flat out hitched a ride on alpha in some obscure way
that suggests it eVen more
so no i dont think anyone dying in other sessions would help ours any
i wouldnt eVen lay caegars on it not actiVely HURTING our session
frankly if i thought beta or the humans dying was gonna help us in alpha any i wouldnt be all up in your grill trying to push the whole teamwork message down your protein chute
or at least not as much
cause what you do and what happens to your session wouldnt matter to me as much
